The 5U Scout Rackmount cases are designed as lighter (up to 6-12 pounds lighter compared to others of equivalent size), rotomolded, double-entry cases with a 19’’ frames. They are crafted with high-tensile polyethylene in a way as to provide absolute protection for the EIA-310 rackmountable instruments. Their extra-secure latches are built with 90° corner locks for full protection as are the handles that feature rubberized grips with 90° stops. The shock-isolation (isolates loads for a maximum of 80 lbs.) and high-strength case shells also ensure the overall shielding of the cases
Rack Material
The racks and materials are made compliant with EIA-310, 19-inch rack frame. The fastening rails are made of stainless steel whereas stiffeners and cross members are constructed with aluminium.
Stacking
The cases can be easily stacked by stacking ribs.
Sizes and Colors
The Zero Scout cases are available in wide range of FED-STD-595 approved colors and in 18’’, 24’’, 21’’, 27’’, and 30’’ rack depths.
Ratings
The cases fall under the rating of ATA 300, Category 1.
Ingress Protection
Scout 5U cases meet the rigors of all weather and industrial conditions including temperature, dust, sand, snow, sleet, rain, and altitude. They are also resistant towards corrosion, chemicals, and other acids.
